PIX Speed Test is a connection and troubleshooting tool for PIX users, testing the end-to-end connection from a user’s device. It is not intended to be a speed test of your actual internet connection and will not necessarily produce the same results as other speed test tools which only connect to an ISP.
PIX Speed Test will run tests for download and upload. It also shows if the connection can support streaming video at SD, HD or 4K. This will show Red if not supported, Amber if it is within 30% of minimum required bandwidth, otherwise it is Green.
PIX Speed Test shows projected upload and download statistics based on the test results. This is intended to be actually meaningful and useful information to the end user, not just a number in MBps to compare with other tests. The stats will estimate how much data you could potentially download/upload per minute and how long a 330 MB file would take to download/upload.
The results will be based on the connection with PIX and will fluctuate with overall network conditions. Local WiFi signal and other users/traffic on shared connections are all factors.
